New XLamp® XFL LEDs deliver breakthrough lumens and throw for portable applications

Cree LED has just launched the new XLamp® XFL LED family, comprised of three LEDs designed for maximum performance in flashlights and other portable lighting applications.

XLamp XFL LEDs for Portable Applications

The XFL10K, our brightest portable application LED yet, delivers up to 20,000 lumens – over three times the output of a car’s high-beam headlights! Each XFL LED is tailored for specific lumen targets, streamlining manufacturers’ design processes and enabling faster delivery of high-value products to customers.

The XFL LED family delivers unrivaled performance. With a 90% smaller light emitting surface compared to competitors, expect more precise beam shapes, less color variation and a longer throw distance. When integrated into an existing flashlight design, XFL LEDs increased throw distance by 54% over the previous LED, illuminating objects nearly six football fields away, or 644 meters.

XLamp XFL LEDs come in three different versions – XFL05K, XFL08K and XFL10K, targeting 5000, 8000 and 10,000 lm flashlight applications respectively – and are available in 6500K-5000K CCT with options of 70 and 80 CRI. Product samples are available now, and production quantities are available with standard lead times.
