Cree Announces Patent Licensing Agreement with Advanced Optoelectronic Technology Inc.

DURHAM, N.C. – Cree, Inc. (“Cree”), today announced a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-bearing, patent license agreement with Advanced Optoelectronic Technology Inc. (“AOT”). The agreement provides AOT with rights to use patented Cree technology in the field of LEDs for display backlights.

Cree’s comprehensive LED patent portfolio included in the license agreement will enable LED display manufacturers to accelerate innovation to produce increasingly energy-efficient and improved-performance displays.
